if that isn't enough to be happy about, i asked the doctor if i could have a break from chemotherapy. the doctor said 'for how long are we talking?' i said 'how long can we get?' he said let's try a couple weeks and then go from there. so today i did the avastin IV only (and not any of the awful irinotecan or carboplatin). the side effects of avastin are not negligible, but they are much less miserable than the other two. so at 2:30 instead of just getting started with chemo, i was all finished and walking out the door. that makes for the beginning of a nice week. praise the LORD.
if that wasn't enough, the doctor took a look at the sore on my hand. he said it was nothing to worry about and would go away in time. praise the LORD.

thank you Father - for your grace, for your goodness, for your salvation. thank you all for praying with me.
