April 4, 1975 – February 10, 2012

John met Jesus on February 10, 2012. Catherine, his sister, was given the gift of holding his hand and praying with him as he took his last breath. John is no longer in pain. He is no longer encumbered by the cancer that riddled his body. John had many visitors today at Southwest Christian Care. Many of his friends came and prayed and read scriptures today with John. John was blessed with a wonderful group of friends who have supported him and his family throughout his struggle with cancer.
John made no secret that he was a Christian by portraying the love of Christ in his life. John opposed his cancer with courage and the strength of the Holy Spirit. Many people have followed John’s story over the last 2 years. Many people have come to know Christ thru John’s story. Many have also become closer to Christ because of John. We don’t know why this happened to John, but we know that his Father in heaven had a plan for John and that it has been fulfilled.
Please read the linked article published in the Newnan Times-Herald commemorating John:

We want to thank all of you who have followed John's blog over the last two years and supported John and his family with prayer, service, and love.
Love,
