i was able to telework all last week (with varying degrees of productivity). the rest of the family was off most of the week as well. i just about went mad with cabin fever but did enjoy spending a little extra time with the family. thank you Father that we never lost power or heat, ran out of food, got into car accidents, or slipped and fell. we were more blessed than many.
last night i started this month's temodar chemo. that is a day early. since today is a holiday, and the first day after the start of temodar is usually the worst my hope was to take advantage of a day when i could sleep in and do not much. in a few minutes i will take dose #2 of temodar.
tomorrow morning i will get my 11th IV of avastan. thank you for praying with me tomorrow. i am praying for a quick and uneventful appointment, that the nurses will be able to hit veins on the first try without much pain. in the long term, i am praying for an end to this routine. over the summer it seemed as if the routine changed every two weeks. each change would leave me wondering how i was going to be able to tolerate the newest routine, and wishing i could just go back to the previous one. now, almost a year into this experience, i am praying there is an end in sight.
please continue to pray with me. making up for the mostly empty last week of work will mean the remainder of this month will be very busy. thank you all, and thank you Father.
